Virtual Adventures

The greatest adventure is the one within.
— Jon Miksis

The Virtual Adventures curriculum provides self-directed lessons that students can access at any time from any computer or mobile device. All lessons are divided into three age groups: children, tween, and teens. Each lesson contains an opening experience, meditation zone, media room, and creation station.

In September 2023, we will begin utilizing the Virtual Adventures curriculum, providing an opportunity for students to explore the topic during the week and extending the lesson into a group experience on Sundays.

How It Works

Parents of registered children will receive a newsletter on Tuesdays with the week’s lesson. Families are invited to explore the lessons as they desire during the week.

Join us at Unity Fort Worth on Sundays @ 1 PM for our Sunday Morning Experience, during which children will explore the topic further.

Curriculum Plan

Unity Fort Worth is using the Virtual Adventures curriculum developed by Unity Worldwide Ministries (UWM).

Cost

The Virtual Adventures program is provided free of charge for families who register. Love offerings are gratefully accepted.

Being Adaptable

This is our last lesson on Being Resilient. A part of being resilient is the ability to adapt and adjust to change. Change happens all the time. When we resist change, it can cause stress and problems. In this lesson, we will explore adaptability and tools we have for adapting to change in our lives. Our first Unity principle says: “There Is Only One Power and One Presence In The Universe – God, That Is All Good And Active In Everything, Everywhere.” When we remember that God is always with us, it makes it easier to manage change.

Managing Change

This week our focus is understanding what change is and how we manage. Change is a constant in our lives and the more we allow ourselves to adjust to the ebb and flow of life, the more joy, peace, and happiness we will attain. No matter what occurs, we have the power to overcome it, learn from it, and to grow.

What Do I Believe About Myself?

This week we begin a new unit on resilience. Resilience is the ability to face, overcome, and become strengthened by the challenges we face. We all face challenges but by being resilient, we can more easily overcome them without being overwhelmed. Unity’s first Principle tells us that God is in all things and is everywhere, even within us helping us grow stronger each day. The Prayer for Protection is a good reminder that God is always with us, helping us to grow stronger.
