April 2, 2024 Senior Minister Resigns
On April 2, 2024, it was announced that Rev. Jean-Marie Schweizer was resigning his position as senior minister.
June 2024 Minister Search Committee (MSC) Formed
Our board of trustees gathered volunteers and kicked off our minister search committee to begin the search process.
July 1, 2024 New Executive Director
Lane Smith, our former office manager, began her new position as Executive Director, managing the day-to-day operations of Unity Fort Worth during the transition period.
July 1, 2024 Transitional Minister
Rev. Aliza Bloom Robinson began as our transitional minister, to guide us through the minister search process and provide spiritual & ministerial expertise during our transition period.
July 20, 2024 Stepping Stones Workshop: The Sacred Value of Transition
We held our first Stepping Stones workshop, exploring the sacred value of transition, and setting expectations and practices to discover the hidden gems: the opportunities and unexpected blessings.
August 17, 2024 Stepping Stones Workshop: Sacred Listening Circles
In our August workshop, we created sacred space to both LISTEN to every voice, and to be HEARD with a specific process for building community.
September 14, 2024 Stepping Stones Workshop: Honoring Our Past, Creating Our Future
In our September workshop, we explored the heritage of Unity Fort Worth, including it’s celebrations and challenges, and discovered the qualities and focus we’d like to see in our next minister.

December 16, 2024Minister Search Packet Submitted
Our MSC submitted the minister search packet to Unity Worldwide Ministries (UWM) and it is posted on their website for candidates to apply. Take a look!

UWM vets credentialed ministers and sends the applications to our MSC interview team, who reviews applications and arranges virtual interviews.
March 1, 2025Stepping Stones Workshop: Healthy Congregations
In our March workshop with Rev. Aliza, we explored what a healthy congregation looks like, communicates like, and how UFW can be one.
Upcoming – TBA Interviewing Candidates
The MSC interview team members conduct virtual interviews and make candidate recommendations to the board of trustees. The board of trustees may choose to interview virtually before extending invitations to candidates for an in-person interview weekend.
