Lesa Walker, LUT
Lesa Walker, LUT is a mostly-retired health professional who holds advanced degrees in both nursing science and religion. Her spiritual path has led her from more traditional Christian views all the way out to paganism and back to center in Unity, which she found in 1997. Her life’s work has always centered healing of body, mind, and spirit and she has found that Unity’s teachings uphold this purpose well. When not busy with sacred service in her Unity center in Dallas or her community, or out on the road with her husband seeing the world, she can be found playing with her most beloved treasures, grandbabies Lincoln (10 months) and Nova Rae (3 years).
Our 4-week Metaphysics at the Movies series explores the deeper spiritual truths and metaphysical themes woven into beloved films, inviting us to see ourselves and our lives in a new light.
In our third film, Disney-Pixar's Inside Out, the emotions inside a young girl's mind navigate change, loss, and growth as she adjusts to a major life transition and discovers the value of every feeling.
As students of metaphysics, part of our journey is to understand the inner workings of our human minds, especially at the intersection with Divine Mind, and Inside Out is a great take on the inner workings of the human emotional system, which is integral to our functioning while we are in these bodies!
But who is in control?
This Sunday, Lesa Walker guides us in exploring how to live into Joy by embracing both the human and divine within ourselves.
