Joni Lorraine
Joni Lorraine is a spiritual director, educator, facilitator, writer, and lifelong learner dedicated to joy and the flourishing of souls. Her work centers on human flourishing—the lifelong practice of becoming more fully ourselves and living well from that place. With a relational, curious, and practical approach, Joni creates space for people to slow down, deepen awareness, explore meaningful questions, and discover new possibilities.
Joni holds a Master of Arts in Spiritual Formation from Seminary of the Southwest, where she received her training in spiritual direction. Her experience spans spiritual direction, healthcare chaplaincy, adult spiritual formation, leadership education, program development, and teaching. Across these settings, she is fascinated by how people make meaning, find connection, and become more fully alive. Her guiding philosophy is simple: live the questions, remain curious, and allow awareness to create freedom.
Creativity is central to Joni’s spiritual life, expressed through theatre, photography, writing, gardening, and a love of ideas and unexpected conversations. She lives just outside Austin, Texas, with her wife, Tammy, Edgar the Dog, and several freshwater fish. Joni believes that creating spaces where people can become more aware, connected, free, and fully alive is work worth doing—and that there should be plenty of fun along the way.
