A bit about me
I am enjoying my life right now as a mother, Nana, friend, and speech pathologist in FWISD, and spiritual explorer. I am so blessed to spend time with my daughter and her family and to be a real presence in the life of my grandson, almost three-year-old Knox, who is the light of my life!
I love my job getting to work with kids with a variety of communication needs, and trying to make a positive difference in their lives as well as their families.
Why do I serve?
I was led to Unity Fort Worth 17 years ago after being unchurched for over 25 years, and I never looked back! I have witnessed Unity FW go from a thriving community of well over 300 members through a challenging break up of the Board and our pastor, and all the changes and challenges since. Unity became my church home from the very beginning, and even through all the ups and downs through the years, it has never let me down as the place I go to when I am happy, frustrated, fearful, and every other emotion I might have experienced. And, it has never stopped being the community I love and call home. I have served Unity in many aspects, and I still do, and I believe that continuing to serve as board member is still mine to do.
What gifts do I bring?
I have engaged in spiritual discovery through our weekly Sunday messages, spiritual classes offered by our own spiritual leaders, as well as most of the SEE classes offered by Unity Worldwide. I have served on the Board for a total of 10 years, served as co-leader of the Welcome committee, and as a Prayer Chaplain. In addition, I bring an unwavering love and faith for this community and I will never stop striving to make it better!
