Mission: To provide opportunities for outreach to the
community by organizing and participating in service projects that are
consistent with the values of Unity and teachings of Jesus.
Outreach projects:
Race for the Cure
We participate each spring in the Komen Tarrant County Race for
the Cure which raises money for research and mammograms for women who
can not afford them. 75% of the net proceeds from the Race fund education,
screening and treatment for the medically underserved in Tarrant County.
25% of the net proceeds support the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation
Research Program.

Support Our Soldiers (SOS)
This ministry ongoing ministry geared toward supporting men
and women in the military.
Some of the activities include (but not limited to) letter writing,
care packages and prayer.
All ages are welcome to participate. The group will hold monthly meetings
to share ideas and experiences. For more information, contact Sheree

Samaritan House Supper Club- This ministry donates, prepares, serves and cleans up meals for approximately 50-60 clients monthly at the Samaritan House. Contact Sue Crundall at 817.913.8495.
The Singles are doing the first Saturday of each quarter, Bill and Virginia Cummings are doing the second Saturday, and Men of Unity are in charge of the third Saturday. If anyone wants to help, please contact Virginia Cummings (vbcummings@yahoo.com) or Sue Crundall (oksuzy36@sbcglobal.net). There are some other nights, such as 5th Wednesdays, that are not covered if more want to get involved.
It really is an easy, rewarding, fun way to be of service.
Caregiver Care Connection- an educational and support group for those dealing with
elder caregiving issues. Caregiver Care Connection offers support and a continuing series of educational programs pertaining to providing care and support of elders. These educational programs are open to all. The next educational program is planned for May 18, 2008 titled: "Behavior and Emotions of Aging." Cook Children's Prayer Bear Ministry
We support this ministry in two ways. First, we provided emotional
and spiritual support to the ER staff by praying for them and providing
snacks twice a month.
Second, we hold an annual prayerbear drive to supply the hospital with

Great American Bake Sale
The Outreach Committee sponsored the Great American
Bake Sale. Proceeds go to end childhood hunger in America. Over $1,500
was raised. If you

Ongoing Collections
Donation bins are in our back hallway for canned food for Altamesa Church
of Christ Neighborhood Needs Ministry, diapers and formula for AIDS
Outreach Center, old cell phones for Verizon to give to battered women,
printer ink jet cartridges for Y.O.U. activities and eye glasses and
hearing aids for Lions International.
Altamesa Church of Christ Neighborhood Needs Ministry
We support this ministry through the ongoing donation of nonperishable
food items, clothes and financial support. These items are distributed
to low income families in the community.

AIDS Angel Tree
We participate in the AIDS Angel Tree project by providing
Christmas gifts to children who are impacted by AIDS. We provided
Christmas gifts to children from the AIDS Outreach Center.
