Sarah Byrd - YFM Director

Sarah Byrd has an extensive history within the Unity Youth movement. She went through the Youth of Unity program at the Unity Church of Austin, and went on to become a regional Y.O.U. representative for the South Y.O.U. region, serving for one year. She has likewise served as a Uniteens and Y.O.U. sponsor at various Unity churches within Texas and Colorado.
Sarah is a Graduate of Naropa University in Boulder, CO, with degrees in Religious Studies and Contemplative Psychology. She has also completed Graduate work in the field of Religious Studies, working towards a Master of Arts degree at the Iliff School of Theology in Denver, CO. Sarah is currently working towards becoming a Licensed Unity Teacher through taking Spiritual Education and Enrichment (SEE) courses.
Sarah completed an internship here at the Unity Church of Fort Worth over the summer of 2009 as the Assistant to the Youth and Family Ministry Director. She recently served as the Youth Education Director at the Unity Church of Austin, and is excited to bring her talents and skills to UCFW!
Beth Garcia - YFM Assistant

Beth Garcia has been an engaged member of the Unity Church of Fort Worth since 2005, and volunteered for three years as the 4th and 5th grade teacher before becoming the Youth and Family Ministry Assistant. Beth is firmly grounded in Unity teachings, and approaches working with children in the lineage of Myrtle Fillmore by embracing and loving the youth in this community.
With her supportive and caring attitude, Beth calls forth the innate wisdom of each child by exploring truth principles and engaging them in the sacredness of each moment. Beth proudly applies this compassionate approach to parenting, and has a daughter who has been involved in the youth department here at UCFW since 2005.
With a background in financial institution management, Beth brings a strong skill-set that includes a high level of professionalism, being able to navigate the delicate balance of guiding and being guided by the youth, and skillfully affirming the presence of God’s Love in each person. Beth is excited to bring her talents to UCFW, and to continue her spiritual journey in our youth community!
