Strategic Planning Team Updates
Summertime and the “Living It” is easy!
It’s all coming together – the year long work of short- and long-term planning; all the thoughts, input, and prayers are falling into place.
Coming to you at the first of October, a survey that will serve as YOUR voice in the final decision making process.
The Living It Team has spent part of their summer vacation making great strides defining our Strategies. As we shared previously, we’ve identified three main paths for our congregation to deepen connection to spirit:
- Education
- Application of Unity Principles
- Involvement in service to the community
Thanks to the many existing groups and activities we have strong framework already in place for our Programs & Ministries (defined as internal areas of focus which provide the tools and means to nurture our awareness of Spirit as it is working in our community). Our challenge is to see how we can make these areas more meaningful to you and identify what other areas might speak to your heart. Some of our current Ministries are:
- Worship
- Pastoral Care
- Music
- Spiritual Development
- Youth & Family
Some additional Ministries proposed are: Administrative Leadership and Wholeness & Healing. The Team’s next task is Marketing and Communications. The Master Facilities Team conducted a walkthrough of the campus, discussing the Fellowship Hall and roof repairs. We’ll keep you updated as action items are defined.
Summer may be winding down, but we are not, there still a lot more “Living It” to do and you can hear more at the Annual General Meeting on September 19, 12:30 pm.
In gratitude for your loving presence,
The Living It Team:
Melinda Allen , Cheryl Chura, Paula Hill, Kristi Howe, Rebecca Low, Scott McDowell, Paul John Roach, Cathy Salas, Bill Sikma, Barbara Vaughn, Bruce Verkruyse
