Weekly Affirmation

The Association of Unity Churches International has launched a new campaign called “Look for the Good”.  For the next 20 weeks we will be posting “Look for the Good” affirmations and bible verses.

Every life experience offers a gift.

Test all things; hold fast to that which is good.

1 Thessalonians 5:21

This campaign was conceived as a positive response to negative campaigning.  Our print ads state, "This election season, make a positive difference...remember to look for the good."

In other words, in keeping with the Law of Attraction (what we focus on/give our attention to, we attract into our lives), do not respond to negative campaigning—focus rather on the positive attributes of the candidates and their messages. It may seem a simplistic idea, but if put into action, what an amazing difference it could make!

This concept of Look for the Good goes far beyond politics. It is a guideline for living our everyday lives. It means not dwelling on what is wrong, but what is right. If it is true that what we put out into the world is what comes back to us many fold, it could truly change our lives and those around us.
