This Week's Prayer

Life does not have to be a battle. The old paradigms of us and them, superior and inferior, winner and loser lead to war, hatred, and division.
Jesus the Christ taught and lived a higher way. He knew that the old duelistic way led to death. He was even willing to put that understanding to the ultimate test. The powers that be hated his freedom, his unconditional love, his iconoclasm. They had him killed.
But his message was greater even than death. It is a message of resurrected love and possibility. Know with me today that however deadly and divided things seem, the life-giving, totally loving Spirit of God is with us. We are not limited by old ways of seeing and believing. The new paradigm is here.

Dear God, I am willing to be resurrected from the old into the new.
Yesterday is gone. In this moment I am loving, whole and free

Thank you that this is so.
