Who We Are

Unity is centered in the New Thought / Ancient Wisdom movement of practical and positive spirituality.  Our community has been a presence in Fort Worth since 1949.

We affirm the essential unity of all people as children of God and celebrate the transformative power of lives centered in the limitless love and light of the Divine.

The History of Unity Church of Fort Worth

Unity Church of Fort Worth was founded by Reverend Ruth Johnson in 1949. In 1952 the church moved to 901 Page Avenue, on Fort Worth's near south side. The church remained there until September 2000 when the present campus was purchased.

When Reverend Johnson retired in 1979 a number of ministers served at Unity Church of Fort Worth. Reverend Paul John Roach and his wife Davis arrived in 1988. From a core group of about 50 members at that time, the church has grown to its current size of 900 members.

Unity Church of Fort Worth is a dynamic center of love and light in our community, welcoming all people and teaching and endeavoring to live the positive principles of truth. Our campus is host to a wide variety of classes, groups and activities. Please browse through the website to find out more.
