Did you know that your opinion matters? The way you feel and the way you see things makes an impact not only in you life but also in other peoples' lives.

Each person lives their life from their own perspective, and no two people see things exactly the same. So your ideas and views on life are different from anyone else's.

There is a way to share your views that includes people and does not ostracize or hurt others. Now, this does not mean that you sugarcoat your frustrations or become lukewarm about your faith and beliefs. It means showing people that you are open to their ideas, respect their ideas, and would like to share your ideas and dreams.

This is practical in the classroom, in the workplace, and in our nation. Enjoy your freedom to be an individual and let others do the same.

Hello, I'm Paul John Roach, senior minister of Unity Church of Fort Worth.

Many years ago, I used to walk around with my fists clinched, a chip on my shoulder and an attitude that said "take a hike buddy." I used to wonder why life seemd so hard and why I was continually faced with adverse circumstances.

Now I know. I created them. It's a well-known law: Thoughts held in mind produce after their kind; or what goes around comes around.

Today I have let go of that defensive and fearful attitude of mind. I realize that God cares for me and so I can care for others. Of course there are times when we can forget, but I do know that what I think and feel determines what I experience.

This week join me in choosing possiblity and love, forgiveness and peace.

You are praying when you go to bed at night.
You are praying when you give someone a hug.
You are praying when you wake up in the morning.
You are praying when you  are taking a shower.
You are praying when you are making breakfast.
You are praying when you are driving to work.
You are praying when you are stuck in traffic.
You are praying when you are stopped at a red light.
You are praying when someone cuts you off.
You are praying when you are working.
You are praying when you relax.
You are praying when you eat lunch.
You are praying when you wash your hands.
You are praying when you have completed something.
You are praying when you get home.
You are praying when you eat dinner.
You are praying when you brush  your teeth.
You are praying when you imagine unity among all people of every race, class or creed

Every thought is a prayer and every prayer impacts the world.
Watch. You get what you think about and see what you pray about.
What are you praying for?
I pray for peace in your day today.

Hello, I'm Paul John Roach, senior minister of Unity Church of Fort Worth.

Jesus spent his whole ministry giving - giving love, healing, inspiration, forgiveness, and yes, giving his very life.

The hallmark of all great souls is likewise the qualities of generosity and total giving. There is no thought of self because the small self has merged into the Whole. Giving becomes the only way to live.

This week why not find ways to give. Perhaps you already do so. I encourage you to continue. Give more love; give money to a worthy cause; give of your expertise, freely without charge; give away a little kindness to those you meet; give someone a break.

Giving is something that once we start it we never want to stop. Why? Because by giving we make a connection to everyone else in our world.

Everyone is racing around
Trying to get everything done. Moms and Dads yell at their children. Children yell at their mothers and fathers. We all get so worked up about everything.

What will I do? Oh no, what will I do now? My car needs to be fixed. Who can I blame? When will my problems stop? When will I stop having to dish out money day in and day out? When will I get to rest?

Face it, life has problems.
But there is a way thru. Don’t wait until everything is in order before you start to enjoy life. Don’t wait until you don’t have problems before you sit back and relax. Or before you show love.

We all love our family and friends, b
ut remembering to show that love takes patience and awareness.

Life is short

Enjoy what you get!

Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace.
Hello, I'm Paul John Roach, senior minister of Unity Church of Fort Worth. The opening words of the Prayer of St. Francis are both poetic and inspiring. We are truly beautiful instruments by which the love and harmony of God can be expressed. Do you feel like that?
Often the image we have of ourselves is less than a perfect instrument. We are seldom happy with our bodies, and our minds are full of restlessness and dissatisfaction.
Today welcome a new idea. Affirm: I am a loved and loving child of God and my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. I am created to be a glorious instrument of God's peace. With statements like these I allow God into my heart and into my world.

When you see someone walking down the street that you don’t know, remember to smile. Remember that feeling after September 11. The whole nation joined together, we were unified by our tears. We were brought together by our knowledge that we are all in this together. We all suffer and experience pain. If we could all remember that we are not separate from each other we would be able to have so much more compassion for each other.
My pain is your pain. Your pain is my pain.o:p>

Jesus died on a cross to bring people together. He died to show us that death and sadness happen to everyone even the very best who are filled with love.

We wonder how can this be?  Why God would do this?

“The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away”

We did not pick the day we were born and we do not pick the day we die.

“Whether we are alive or whether we are dead, we are the Lord’s”

So consider each moment icing on the cake.

Enjoy this daily miracle.

Hello, I'm Paul John Roach, senior minister of Unity Church of Fort Worth.

As we enjoy the Labor Day weekend we recall all of us who work to bring more understanding and peace into our world. It is not just great leaders like Nelson Mandela, the Dalai Lama or Martin Luther King Jr. who do this. It is everyone of us who decides to make a difference in our own backyards and neighborhoods.

It can start with a decision to stop littering. Or a willingness to be a friendly driver. It could be time spent as a volunteer or a simple gift given to a loved one.

Doing a new thing, changing a habit, realizing that there is a higher way can make an enormous difference in our lives and in our world. Start today.

August 30
At the moment when you think you must give up
When your body aches And your mind is full of information, thoughts, ideas, and dreams,
Keep on pushing!
YOU CAN MAKE IT
Anything is possible if you can set your mind to it. Lance Armstrong won the Tour de France 6 times not because he is the greatest cyclist who has ever lived. He won because he believed that he could win. When his legs were shaking and his head was heavy. He kept making the wheels turn.
At the moment when you think it is all too much for you to handle
When all the problems mount up
Just take a moment---to breath and then PRESS ON
You can achieve all your wildest dreams
Like Jesus says, “ Greater things than these will you do too!”
Believe you can do anything!

Hello I’m Paul John Roach senior minister of Unity Church of Fort Worth.

Over the next few months our country will experience the excitement but also the struggle of election season. This year, in particular, the stakes are high and it is easy to get polarized.

Let's remember that nothing is served by demonizing an opponent. By doing so we end up diminishing ourselves and creating an enemy.

Join me today in moving to higher ground. Let's give thanks for all the things we take for granted in a free democracy. Let us strive to uphold the noble qualities of freedom, dignity, equal rights and free speech which made this country great in the first place.

This season I fast from fear and division and affirm love and respect for all.

Hello I’m Paul John Roach senior minister of Unity Church of Fort Worth.

Charles Fillmore, the co-founder of Unity, a nondenominational spiritual and educational movement centered in the teachings of Jesus Christ, wrote this affirmation in his 94th year. He declared "I fairly sizzle with zeal and enthusiasm and spring forth with a mighty faith to do the things that ought to be done by me."

Can you feel the energy in that statement? Do you feel like sizzling today? If you do, you will certainly feel more alive and more capable. A half-hearted approach to life yields halfhearted results.

Join me today in fairly sizzling with zeal and enthusiasm as we spring forth with faith to do what is ours to do.

Hi, my name is Miriam Hoffman-Roach.

Our actions are determined by what we think is good. Each person’ good is either beneficial for themselves, others, everyone, or no one.

We only act for good. It is good not to touch a hot stove. It is good for my career. It is good for my children.

We only plan for good. It will be good when I get something to eat. It will be good when I take this watch and pawn it. It will be good when I stand up for the ones I love. It will be good when I stand up against the ones I hate.

Choose your good. Choose the good of all so that your good will be beneficial for everyone.

Hello I’m Paul John Roach senior minister of Unity Church of Fort Worth.

When we experience conflict and enmity with another we always have a choice. Does this conflict bring out the best or the worst in us. If we react with indignation, anger and fear it is surely bringing out the worst.

However if we choose to respond with understanding and love knowing that we are all in this together then we experience the best in us. We inhabit a place of possibility in spite of the conflict.

Think about it. When you have to deal with adverse circumstances and difficult people will you bring forth the best in you or the worst. It’s your choice.

Hi, my name is Miriam Hoffman-Roach.

A huge tree starts as a single seed that is covered by soil. Water comes to moisten the earth. The water enriches the soil. The soil protects the seed. The seed sprouts.

With the warmth of the sun the tree grows above the ground. The roots extend into the earth. A beautiful tree to view in your backyard. What created the first seed?

A miracle.

Just like the tree, you were created with a purpose. Let it be fulfilled in you this day!

Love, protect and admire all of creation.

Hello I’m Paul John Roach senior minister of Unity Church of Fort Worth.

What are the principles of prosperity? Are they about how to get a great job, maintain a healthy portfolio and accumulate property?

No. The key principle of prosperity is the understanding that God provides. The universal Spirit of life and truth is the source of all good. When we acknowledge this as our true prosperity then we are not limited to finite expressions. Our understanding is infinite.

Today release your grasp on the need to see money and things as the source of your good. Enter the realm of the true prosperity where God provides and enjoy an abundant life. God creates and sustains this whole universe and will surely care for you.

Do not resist the evil doer, but if anyone strikes you on the cheek, turn the other also.

Hi my name is Miriam Hoffman-Roach. I am a member of Unity Church of Fort Worth.

It’s so easy to make life a battle. We separate ourselves from those that we don’t understand. But God sends sun and rain on the good and the bad alike.

During this time, pray for the troops and leaders of all those at war. I would not want sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers to be ruthlessly torn from this world. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Pray for everyone.

Love, protect, and admire all of creation.

Let freedom ring!

Hello I’m Paul John Roach senior minister of Unity Church of Fort Worth.

Freedom is not just a nice word it is a principle and a privilege that needs constant nurturing to be safeguarded and protected.

Freedom is the right to speak openly.

Freedom is the right to worship God in our own way

Freedom is the right to think our own thoughts

Freedom is allowing others their own views and attitudes.

Jesus said that you shall know the Truth and it will make you free. The Truth that we are all God’s children, filled with the light and love of Spirit. When we understand this Truth of our divine nature then we are free indeed.

Yes, let freedom ring!
